Nominations for President-Elect of EBPS

We are seeking nominations for President-Elect of EBPS, to follow current President-Elect Louk Vanderschuren, who will be serving as President from 2019 - 2021. The individual will serve as President-Elect from 2019 - 2021, President from 2021- 2023 and Past-President from 2023 - 2025.  A list of previous Presidents can be found here .

To increase the participation of the EBPS membership in the appointment of the President-Elect, the Executive Committee has decided to ask the members for nominations. Thus, individuals who are nominated will be reviewed by the Executive Committee, to determine a slate of candidates willing to be considered, and there will then be an advisory election held via an online voting system. Based on the outcome of this election, the Full Committee will present their recommendation for President-Elect to the General Assembly meeting at the EBPS Biennial Meeting, which will be held 28-31 August, 2019, in Braga, Portugal.

Please send your nominations, including a nomination letter and CV of the nominee, to the EBPS General Secretary (generalsecretary@ebps.org), Shelly Flagel, by June 30, 2019. Note that both the member who nominates and the nominee should be paid-up members of EBPS.

Special issue: Psychopharmacology of Extinction - From Theory to Therapy

This special issue on ‘The Psychopharmacology of Extinction’ aims to provide a comprehensive set of reviews and empirical papers that address these questions and others from many of the leading scientist currently working in this area. The issue developed out of a symposium held at the 2017 biennial European Behavioural Pharmacology Society meeting in Crete. This symposium, like the current collection of articles, highlighted some of the exciting developments in understanding the extinction of both appetitive and aversive memories that have emerged in the 90 years since Pavlov published his foundational ideas. We hope you find the collection of interest and value to your own work as we look ahead to the next era of extinction research.
